Annaleigh McDonald
Hi, I’m Annaleigh! I am a senior designer and art director. I spend my days working in the clean energy space and my free time pursuing other creative ventures. You might find me designing bespoke wedding invitations for my cool friends or working on interior design projects.
I also read and write about architecture, design, pop culture, history, material culture, and decorative arts. After completing my MA in History of Design and Curatorial Studies from Parsons School of Design, I worked in house museums for several years before getting back to my roots as a working designer. I still love to nerd out about design history, and I will talk to you (with wild enthusiasm) about everything from the art historical significance of the Beatles’ Yellow Submarine to Federalist architecture in post-Revolutionary America.
I admire—and attempt to create—design that is playful, beautiful, and functional.
Have a look around—if you’d like to chat about commissioning design work, my research, or Sufjan Stevens’ Christmas albums, make sure you say hey!
